We have arranged for Year 7 classes to participate in an educational visit to Chedworth Roman Villa on:
Wednesday 8th November for 7JP and 7AA
Thursday 9th November for 7JS and 7CG
At Chedworth pupils will have a guided tour of the Roman villa site and will take part in archaeological workshops designed to support their learning of Roman life.
Pupils will be expected to:
- wear suitable non-school uniform, for example jeans, tee-shirt, a sweatshirt or jumper and sensible footwear,
- bring a waterproof coat
- bring a packed lunch and non-fizzy drink (in an unbreakable container,)
- carry personal items in a small bag that allows them to still use their hands, for example, a ruck-sack,
- be provided with a small amount of money (no more than £5) in a named wallet or purse – if you would like.
The journey to Chedworth is approximately an hour, therefore please administer travel sickness medication to your child if needed prior to departure. Children will be expected to arrive at school at 8.25 as normal and we will be departing for Chedworth at 9am. We will return to school in time for pupils to catch their school bus home at 3pm.
In line with Governors policy on Educational visits we now seek a voluntary contribution of £12 to cover transport, fees and insurance. If insufficient payments are received, we may be forced to cancel the trip.
Please return completed slips to school and pay via our online payment system (ParentPay) by Thursday 19th October. When paying online please record the receipt number on the reply slip. If you have any queries relating to online payments or concerns about payments generally, please contact the school office on 01527 892867.
If you are able to accompany us on one of the days to help supervise the pupils, please complete the reply slip below.
