Year 5 – Think Tank Birmingham Visit

Dear Parents/Carers,

A visit for Year 5 children has been arranged to the Think Tank in Birmingham, to help support and develop our Science topic, Properties and Changes of Materials. During the day pupils will explore how substances can change from one state to another and back again. There’s also the chance to show off their scientific skills by accurately measuring the ingredients needed to make their very own slime!

Children should come in school uniform. This visit is a full day so a snack and packed lunch, with drinks (not fizzy) drinks will be needed plus a small amount of pocket money (£5.00 maximum) should you wish.

Visit Date:           Thursday 16th November 2017

The cost of the whole day is £15.  This will need to be paid as soon as possible, and no later than Friday 210th November.  Payment is to be made online via the Parent Pay (a receipt number must be provided to school.) Should you have any concerns regarding payment then please contact the school office. The enclosed slip and payment options are in line with the Governors’ charging policy of voluntary contributions.  If insufficient contributions are received, the visit may not proceed.

We look forward to what is sure to be a memorable day!

Yours sincerely,

Mrs S Trevethick

Head of Faculty
