RE: Coronavirus Contingency Plans

Dear parents/carers,

RE: Coronavirus Contingency Plans

You may be aware of the media speculation around forced school closures. The Department of Education has instructed schools to follow their contingency plans. As yet, there are no concrete plans to close schools and we remain open.

Should the government instruct a forced closure I would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that the Schools Leadership Team are putting extensive plans in place of how to minimise the impact on our students and their studies. We are taking advice from the government and other authorities and these plans may change as the national situation unfolds.

In the event of a school closure our detailed plans will be communicated with you to ensure that the students can continue their studies from home and will detail how students and parents can contact our staff.

In the meantime, if you think your child may have been exposed to or has coronavirus, please contact the school on 01527 892867 at the earliest opportunity.

Yours sincerely,

Mr M Bennett

Head Teacher
